Anthony Lessard vs. Roberto McLellan

Roberto McLellan vs Anthony Lessard, March 10, 2011

Roberto McLellan managed to pull off a big upset Thursday night in Calgary by stopping Anthony Lessard at the end of round 6, therefore winning the vacant C.P.B.C. junior middleweight title. McLellan was in control of the fight from the beginning, landing punches from the outset using lots of angles. McLellan hurt Lessard with a body shot and then sent him to the canvas with a combination of well placed punches. Lessard beat the count but looked exhausted and hurt as he made it to his feet. McLellan followed up with another knockdown near the bell.
